Creative with eating disorders

An eating disorder can put your whole life upside down. Dealing with this complex issue is not easy. Maybe creative therapy can be a help on your way!

Creative expression works

A lot of what makes us unhappy or keeps us imprisoned is hidden in our unconscious. We cannot access it just by talking about it. Creative exercises can be a way to safely express yourself and gain insight in yourself and what is on your mind or keeps you trapped.

Creative expression can help you create safety to work out deep topics in a spontaneous and intuitive way, without having to dig deep.

Programme “creative with eating disorders”

The first 3 sessions are organized in collaboration with the organization for eating disorders in Leuven: AN-BN. The specific content depends on the participants. The bottomline is working in creative ways around chosen topics, f.e. self-worth, dealing with emotions and thoughts, making contact with your body, working out topics that you are dealing with in therapy, … Creative means: using meditation and consciousness exercises, creative writing, colour, clay, voice exercises, movement and body work, drama, combinations …

When signing up you receive an intake form to fill out with some questions and proposals, which helps me to prepare the appropriate exercises. The group stays small [max. 4 participants] so individual fine-tuning stays possible.
